Beyonce and her $127 million dollar month!

We all know Beyonce for her hit songs like, “Crazy in Love”, “Single Ladies”, and “If I were a Boy”, but in 2023 her tour and ticket sales were off the charts.

Here’s what you may not know about Beyonce’s 2023 “Renaissance” tour and its record-breaking revenue.  Beyonce’s world tour went from the United States to Europe, and even Australia!

Post covid the music industry wondered whether music fans would ever come to a live venue again. It’s fair to say in 2023, Beyonce helped revive live music around the world.  Here’s what’s even more amazing!  Beyonce holds the record for the most tour ticket sales in a one-month period in July of 2023 selling $127.6 million dollars in ticket sales, and that doesn’t even include merchandise and sponsorships.

How did Beyonce accomplish all of this?  Simple, her fans were willing to shell out an astounding $300 - $2,500 dollars per ticket just to be in the same room as Queen B and her beehive.  And here’s the most astounding fact.   Many of these ticket sales came from middle class households where mothers and daughters alike attended the concert together.

Traditionally, in the music business, artists can receive anywhere from 30 to 50 percent of all ticket sales.  The rest of the ticket revenue goes to the promotor who initially outlays the cash to pay for all production and promotion.   However, because of Beyonce’s superstar status, some industry insiders say she may demand as much as 65 percent of all ticket sales.  That would make Queen B one of the highest paid artists of all time!
